Interim FD Case Study
I recently took on an interim CFO role at a start up in its pre launch phase. The assignment had 3 main objectives;
1) Set up finance function, tax arrangements and legal entities
2) Develop launch proposition pricing
3) Recruit a Permanent CFO
Setting up the finance function included recruiting the team, developing core activities e.g. PO process, bank accounts and payment processing, launch budgets, cash-flow forecasting, post launch reporting etc.
Working with the Marketing team, we developed the launch pricing after extensive market research, consumer research, benchmarking and detailed business modelling to arrive at a set of prices that we best balanced volume and price in order to drive maximum revenue outcome.
